West Beach Volunteer Fire Department was formed in January 1929, with a roster of 10 members and used American LaFrance pumper bought from the New LEGO City Fire Department. Today we are 100% volunteer fire department. We cover the Town and Village of West Beach and the surrounding area. We operate out of a single station with a fleet of 2 Engines,1 Brush Truck,1 Truck,1 Rescue Engine,1 ALS equipped Amulance,1 Water Rescue Boat,1 Rescue Trailer and 1 Duty Chiefs Vehicle. We currently have a roster of 1 Chief,1 Deputy Chief,2 Assistant Chiefs,5 Captains,5 Lieutenants and approximatley 40-50 firefighters. We average about 500-600 calls annually.
